That's why i was surprised when SWAN808 mentioned the Mach Five. In fact, i'm mildly impressed by the lack of artefacts in the video's. So i'm tend to be a little weary of new sampler plugins (but i don't think Falcon can be called a sampler).Īnyway, Falcon seems to have proper resampling stuff with actual proper filtering, going by the sound of it. In that respect some synth plugins work better as samplers for my needs than the sampler plugins. Full of all sorts of features but not doing sampling right. In general i got very desillusioned with most software samplers. Haven't tried Falcon or newer versions of mach five. You? I think i tried the mach five demo once when it came out years ago and didn't like it much.īut here i was going by the aliasing tests on discodsp.

I don't know about earlier versions of MachFive, but I can say with certainty for MF3 and Falcon, as I actually own them. Also depending on the effect, MF3 offered oversampling (for example - distortions), so, no, it did not have ridiculously bad aliasing.
